TeamsterLink (or T-unionlink) is a forum established by Teamsters to provide a platform that enables union members to communicate with each other regarding collective bargaining issues, matters of general concern, and to express opinions regarding concerted activities that advance the interests of workers. This is an excellent site to get information about our union.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) enforces workplace and job site health and safety standards and regulations.

Comprehensive List of State Labor Offices, Bureau of Labor and Industries handles civil rights matters (retaliation for reporting unsafe working conditions, discrimination, and so on). For wage and hour disputes these are best addressed under your collective bargaining agreement (“contract” or CBA). Contact your local union representative immediately if you are having issues with your pay. If you do not have a union, then seek guidance from your state Labor Office.

National Labor Relations Board is a federal agency set up to protect workers rights to organize a union, unionized workers rights and other rights associated with unionization.

The World Socialist Web Site provides news, analysis and exposes corporate-union collusion. Highly recommended is their deep dive into the history of Teamsters for a Democratic Union.

Teamsters Mobilize is a grassroots organization of Teamster activists. In 2022, it formed as a caucus of UPS part-timers. Teamsters Mobilize led a national Vote No campaign against the terrible 2023-2028 UPS contract.

The Formerly Incarcerated, Convicted People & Families Movement (FICPFM) is a network of over 50 civil and human rights organizations that are led by people who are living with criminal records, and their family members.

Black & Pink National is a prison abolitionist organization dedicated to abolishing the criminal punishment system and liberating LGBTQIA2S+ people and people living with HIV/AIDS who are affected by that system through advocacy, support, and organizing.  

Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee – is a prisoner-led section of the Industrial Workers of the World. They struggle to end prison slavery along with allies and supporters on the outside. On September 9, 2016 they were part of a coalition of inside and outside groups that launched the largest prison strike in US history. Resistance to prison slavery continues with work stoppages, hunger strikes and other acts of resistance.

The Pree Talk Show discussion on revolutionary change, culture and art with Space Baby, featuring B.A. Abad, Teamster Local 856 union steward, Teamsters Mobilize organizer, factory worker and artist. B.A. Abad’s work can be found on YouTube, Apple and other digital platforms.

The Labor Video Project established in 1983 and has been producing labor videos and documentaries about the issues working people face. Featuring an interview with Teamster International Vice President John Palmer regarding the sellout 2023 UPS contract; discussions on the fight against racism and fascism, and in-depth interviews with activists and organizers.

CounterPower is a communist political organization based in the U.S. empire. The NAACP, formed in 1909 as an interracial endeavor to advance justice for African Americans has grown to be the historical home of grassroots activism for civil rights and social justice. They advocate, agitate, and litigate for the civil rights due to Black America. They state “In our cities, schools, companies, and courtrooms, we are the legacy of W.E.B. Du Bois, Ida B. Wells, Thurgood Marshall, and many other giants.”

Extinction Rebellion is a decentralised, international and politically non-partisan movement using non-violent direct action and civil disobedience to persuade governments to act justly on the Climate and Ecological Emergency.

Prostasia Foundation advocates for a uniquely balanced, rights-respecting and evidence-based approach for sex worker rights, internet freedom, and for child sexual abuse prevention.

The Red Nation is dedicated to the liberation of Native peoples from capitalism and colonialism. They center Native political agendas and struggles through direct action, advocacy, mobilization, and education. They have a YouTube channel here.

Oregon Sex Workers Committee has a mission to prevent violence against people, prevent human trafficking, and prevent police abuse. They encourage people who want to prevent abuse of adults and minors to support decriminalization of sex work, so that resources can be used to address actual violent offenders.

Portland Sex Workers Resource Project aims to support people in the sex trades by providing harm reduction supplies and supports specific to the work.
